On Monday night while Lizzy and I were praying and ministering on Periscope, I saw the flood gates of Heaven open and treasure was coming down from the throne of God to the earth. Early Tuesday morning at about 3 am, a heavy downpour of rain that had not been forecasted, fell over Charlotte. Whether this is related or not, I believe that God is opening the flood gates of Heaven over your life. In the Scriptures whenever God opened the flood gates of Heaven, several things happened that changed the course of nature at that time. In 2 Kings 7:19, in a draught stricken land, God opened the flood gates over Samaria and overnight, they transitioned from poverty to abundance in food, gold and silver. In Acts 2, the Lord opened the gates of heaven and poured out His Spirit over the 120 disciples of Jesus and as a result, 3000 people gave their hearts to Jesus. In acts 10, God was pleased by the fasting and giving of Cornelius, and hence poured out His spirit on him and his family, causing them to be the first Gentile believers to receive the Holy Spirit. In Joshua 10 :11, the Lord rained hail from the Heavens and killed the enemies of Israel in an instant. In Malachi 3: 10, He promises to open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing; more than we have an ability to contain. In Deuteronomy 28:12, The LORD will send rain at the proper time from His rich treasury in the Heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.
My friend, the outpouring of the latter rain has begun. It is not just going to be a Spiritual blessing, but God is going to fill you with His Spirit afresh. He is going to put your enemies to shame as He heals all your diseases and restores all that the enemy has stolen. Just like Cornelius, your obedience to press into the glory and to give sacrificially to the work of the Gospel opens this dimension of open gates, and through Jesus Christ our Lord, you and your family shall be united under the umbrella of the Holy Spirit. A divine realignment of ministries and callings will be put to place as the Lord releases visions and trances to His people; to see their reality as the He sees it. Extend your spiritual antennas and by faith, grab a hold of what the Holy spirit is revealing to you as your portion in this time, and you will see an increase in miracles in your life. Just like a natural flood, this outpouring will move things around, expose hidden treasures in your life, expose decay and the plans of the enemy, and a new foundation shall be built on Christ the solid Rock.
Ministering spirits have been released to impart faith, to release a decree of the restoration of God’s people and a fresh outpouring of His Spirit upon all flesh; the body of Christ. Some will scoff at the decree of restoration due to past disappointments, but you are to be the remnant that believes in the report of the Lord. In 2 Kings 7:19, the doubting officer only spectated as the Lord moved to restore the fortunes of Israel overnight. As a preparation for the coming months, any fears in your life, any inhibitions and disappointments that may cause you to limit the hand of God in you are to be put at the altar, through continual praise and worship. As it was with Cornelius, surrender yourself and your possessions to God, and you will see revival happen first in your family, then the world around you. You are alive in such a time as this; for God to use you to display His splendor. In the end, many will look at your life and see the Hand of the invisible God over you and in return, seek to know His ways (Micah 4:1, Isaiah 2:2).
Do not look unto your situation; your sickness or your limitations, look unto Jesus, the Author, the perfecter and the finisher of your faith. Nothing catches Him by surprise. He is from everlasting to everlasting, He has seen your substance before you were formed in your mother’s womb (Psalms 139:16), He has established the boundaries of your times and influence here on earth (Acts 17:26) and as such, He is going to cause all things that are happening to you now to work together for your good; in the end, you will dwell in His house forever.
