I write to you my friends, family and to the body of Christ at large. Grace and peace be unto you from God the Father, from the seven spirits of God and from our Lord Jesus Christ. Many of you who are veterans of faith have sat in, heard or read the tremendous prophetic decrees that have been spoken over the church and the promise of the manifestation of His power to usward who believe. We have seen the flow of the Holy Spirit here and there but not to the degree that was promised. In the last three months, the Holy Spirit has woken me up at 2 am every day for prayer, and it seemed that I couldn’t move on from John 14:12.
     Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.
     Throughout my prayer time, it seemed like only groaning and wailing could ease the burden of this tremendous promise for body of Christ, especially here in the United States. The move of God that we desire and that has been promised is often cast off to the next generation. This is the word that the Lord spoke to me as I was in prayer,” Son of man, behold, the house of Israel says, ‘The vision that he sees is for many days from now. He prophesies about times that are far off.’  Therefore, say to them, thus says AdonaiElohim, ‘None of My words will be delayed anymore, but the word that I speak will be fulfilled.’” It is a declaration of Adonai. (Ezekiel: 12:27-28”. 
I can see millions of people whose hearts have been sickened by delay awakening to a torrential rain of the Spirit as He answers prayers and confirms His word with signs and wonders. In this issue, we will deal with the spirit of delay and follow through with successive revelation in issues to come. 

Delay 
     This is a spirit that occupies a dispensation, a generation or blocks personal open doors, causing people to be detained in a condition of meager spiritual resources. This leads to dry spiritual lives and rare signs and wonders. There are many examples in the Scriptures, but I will give you just a few. 
 In Daniel chapter 9, he discovered while reading the prophecies of Jeremiah 29, that the nation of Israel had completed the 70 years of punishment from the Lord. This spirit of delay kept them in captivity longer than they were supposed. When he began to intercede for himself and his people in prayer and fasting, this same spirit (prince of Persia) kept the answer for an additional 21 days (Daniel 9and 10).

     In two occasions God had opened great doors for Paul to minster but he was hindered, delayed or detained by this spirit.  In 1 Corinthians 16 :5 He says, “For a wide door of opportunity (effectual) service has opened to me but there are many adversaries.” Elsewhere in Thessalonians 2:18 He says, “For we wanted to come to you, I Paul, again and again wanted to come, but Satan hindered (detained) us.” 
     Jesus has provided all things that we need for life and godliness, yet many are sick, poor while others sleep. It is this spirit that hinders the delivery of the promises that God has ratified for His people. It is possible for you to have a sure word from God and the manifestation of it is detained by this spirit of delay.  Thank God that time has come that His words over your life will not be delayed any longer. Prepare yourself for a season of utmost acceleration and restoration of all the times that rain has been withheld in your life. As it is mentioned in Joel 2:23, “He will give you the former rain, the rain in season at the same time to the glory of His name.”

How the Spirit of Delay enters a nation, family, or a person
     In Romans 15:4 Paul exhorts us that the things that have been written afore were for our learning. In other words, the nation of Israel and their journey through the wilderness to the promise land was a shadow of our journey in Christ. It is important to note that even though Daniel and others had kept themselves from idolatry, the judgement of the nation of Israel lead even the innocent to captivity. God was with them in Babylon, but they still had to experience the fire and the waters as mentioned in Isaiah 43: 2-5. When a nation declares itself against the Lord, there is a national consequence. When a community sets itself against the Lord, there is a communal consequence. 
This is why even though Daniel is mentioned as a man highly esteemed in the sight of God, he identified with the sin of Israel and prayed, “O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and take action! Do not delay, for Your own sake. O my God, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name.” (Daniel 9:19)
Whatever the case of delay in your life, do not be discouraged, like Daniel you are here for such a time as this; to intercede that God’s power may come and restore His holiness in this country. In 2009, the then elected American president declared America not to be a Christian nation. Ever since then, a spirit of unprovoked murder has flooded the streets and now there are shootings weekly all over the US.
            In Hosea 4:6, the Prophet outlines the major reason why people perish or suffer in the hands for the oppressors; lack of knowledge. In every area of your life where you don’t know, delay is the dominant spirit. As we see in Daniel, it took his study of the book of Jeremiah to discover God’s provision out of Babylon. Are there areas of your life where you have left it to chance to determine the outcome? Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, people perish.” You have to seek the vision of where God is taking you.


How to deal with the Spirit of Delay and open the Wellsprings of the supernatural in your life
     This is what the Spirit of the Lord said to me, “To walk in the power that Jesus walked in and the level of breakthrough He operated in, you must walk just as He walked.” In Isaiah 11:1-8, the root of Jesse is crowned with the Spirit of Jehovah and six other spirits that stand in the presence of God, that enabled Him to be in favor with God and with men. 

• The Spirit of Jehovah 
• Wisdom and understanding 
• Counsel and might 
• Knowledge and the fear of the Lord. 

     These spirits have been sent out to the whole world from presence of God, (Revelations 5:6) meaning that they are available for every believer to appropriate, to manifest the kingdom. The corresponding character or spiritual posture that enables the functioning of these spirits is the fear of the Lord. You can bear witness that in our generation, the fear of the Lord is almost nonexistence, hence the reason for the delay. In Mathew 6:11, Jesus gives us a secret, “The manifestation of the Kingdom of God here on earth as it is in heaven is always preceded by a spirit of reverence and the fear of the Lord.”

Note: The Fear of the Lord is not living a life of sin consciousness but rather a revelation of the integrity and awesomeness of God, which leads us into living a life of worship and reverence before Him, which consequently results in turning away from all sin.
 
Prayer Points

• As you take some time to pray for the supernatural power of God to manifest in all the areas of your life and ministry, ask the Lord to immerse you in the spirit of the reverential fear of the Lord. This creates an angelic encampment to deliver you from delay and all other manifestations of evil.
• Ask the Lord that His Omnipotence (all powerful), Omnipresent (all present) Omniscient (all knowing) nature will be in your consciousness always, so that you may live your life in fear and reverence of His name daily.

Psalms 34:9 Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing

Psalms 33:18-21 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear Him [and worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and obedience]. On those who hope in His compassion and loving kindness. To rescue their lives from death and keep them alive in famine.We wait [expectantly] for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For in Him our heart rejoices because we trust in His holy name.

• If you are struggling with any sin, from simple gossip, unbelief, or slothfulness to perversion (pornography), unforgiveness etc., ask the Lord to immerse you in a spirit of knowledge and understanding. Job 28:28 tells us that to depart from wickedness is understanding.
• If you struggle with timidity, anxiety, and low self-esteem, ask the Lord for the spirit of might; that He may strengthen you with His strength in your inner man (Ephesians 3:14-21).
• Lastly, Jesus was about His Father’s business. Therefore, even though you have a secular job, ask the Lord for a spirit of hunger and thirst for His righteousness so that in your waking days ,you may be consumed by things above (heavenly). Consequently, the spirit of Jehovah will flow through you unhindered and without delay.
