God longs to reveal Himself to you … just ask….

God longs to reveal Himself to you … just ask….

this is the confidence we have in Him, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us (1John 5:14)
I write to you today because I know that you are born again and that you have encountered the love of our Heavenly Father. If by any chance you haven’t, He desires for you to know today that He longs to reveal His heart to you and your family. He is the Father from whom all fatherhood originates. You are not here on earth by chance nor by the will of your parents, but by God’s divine plan. It is His desire to partner with you in fulfilling all that He has commissioned you to do. He is a Father who longs to have fellowship with you through the Holy Spirit, and Jesus has already paid the way.

In our generation, unanswered prayer, wrong doctrines and ignorance has caused many of us to develop mindsets on why the Father doesn’t answer our prayers and  hence have adopted this notion that God is looking for you to miss the mark, then use it against you in time of prayer. Unfortunately, this has made us to be acutely aware of why the Father doesn’t answer prayers more than why He does (Isaiah 65:24, Psalms 91:14-17, Jeremiah 33:3) He answers you not because of your good behavior nor of your good deeds, but because of your faith in the Lord Jesus. In Christ  we live, in Him we move and in Him we have our being (Acts 17:28).

On a recent encounter with the Holy Spirit, He spoke to me in length concerning how simple matters of the kingdom of God are. However, in an effort to appeal to the intellectual western culture, we have complicated the Christian walk to the point where one has to jump through hoops before a break through is realized . ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK. He said in John 15:7 that if you abide in Him and His words abide in you, you will ask for anything you will and it will be done for you. On another occasion He said in Matthew 7:7 and 8, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Religion will cause you to focus on you; your weakness and the reasons why you don’t qualify for whatever it is that you are in need of. Relationship however is driven by love, and in this love relationship, Jesus seeks to give and not take. He seeks to lift you up from your struggle, not put you down, and ultimately wants to give you what you don’t deserve, that is, the unmerited, unqualified favor of God. If you have never heard His voice or had this assurance that He is real, pause and ask Him to come into your heart and you will encounter His unquenchable love, all you have to do is ASK.

In John 3:16, Jeremiah 29 :11, Matthew 11:28 and Hebrews 4, He revealed His heart towards you so as to relieve you of the burden of making it on your own; by giving you the choice of giving Him the reigns of your heart and entering His rest. He did all these because HE LOVES YOU. In Mathew 11:25, Jesus said, “I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, oh Father: for so it seemed good in Thy sight.” We are simply to receive Him and what He has for us as children; He loves simplicity and hates religion.

You may have lived a life of self indulgence and probably now you are dealing with the consequences of previous choices but even then; the Bible says in Matthew 11:28, “Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” The power of His redeeming blood that was shed on Calvary set you in a place of victory in Him before you were formed in your mother’s womb. You may think that you deserve all that you’re going through based on you history but if you ask Him, He will rewrite your story.

Apostle Peter reminds you today to cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you (1Peter 5:7). He knew everything you were going to go through and need beforehand as mentioned in Romans 8:30, “And those whom He foreordained, He also called, and those whom He called, He also justified (made righteous, putting them in right standing with Himself). Those whom He justified, He also glorified (raised them to a heavenly dignity; state of being). The burden is not yours to carry, remember, you are not here on earth in the family of God by accident.

The Father desires for you to remember that HE HAS A PLAN, IT IS A GOOD PLAN AND IT DOESN’T DEPEND ON YOU ALONE. In asking, we partner with Him in the plan He has for us, for only He alone knows tomorrow. Be encouraged today, be bold and courageous, ask in confidence whatever you are in need of and He will gladly answer your prayer.

Shalom,
