Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the valley of the Arnon: behold, I have given into thy hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle. (Deuteronomy 2:24)
On a recent trip to the Moravian falls prayer mountain, the Lord appeared to me as the Lion of the tribe of Juda. His demeanor was so powerful and magnificent that I started to wonder why as a church, we wallow in self pity and defeat. Many of our predecessors fought the good fight of faith and won tremendous victories for the kingdom of God, yet in our time, it seems as though we are serving a different God. He says in Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forevermore. ” He that walked into hell, took the keys of death and hades and resurrected on the third day, is the same Jesus that we are serving today.
Paul the apostle in 2 Corinthians 2:11 states that every time we are ignorant of the enemy’s devices, he gains an advantage over us. As such, the Lord wants us to know that even though a matter has been decreed in Heaven as a prophetic word, a dream, or any kind of divine communication, it doesn’t mean that it will automatically come to pass. You are the ambassador of the Kingdom of God and an enforcer of spiritual decrees. Heaven has endorsed and empowered you to contend with the god of this world and take territory for the government of God ( Luke 10:19, 2 Corinthians 4:4 Ephesians 6:10-19).
Jesus paid the price that you who believe in Him should be redeemed out of the oppression of the fallen nature, and into a divine nature. Many people ask me, “If Jesus paid for it, why don’t I have it? If healing by faith is real, why are so many sick? Why are so many broke? Why is there a 68% divorce rate in the church?” Just like the Lord spoke to the people of Israel in Deuteronomy 2:24, all these things have been availed for us but you as a believer, have to enforce whatever it is that you desire to obtain by faith in prayer. (2 Peter 13-4 According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue).
It wasn’t until Daniel got on his knees and contended with God concerning the prophecy of Jeremiah 29:10; about the freedom from captivity of the people to Israel that God sent an angel to fulfill the prophecy. God spoke it but someone had to enforce it in prayer and supplication (Daniel 9:3-8).
It is a season where we as the church are to arise and put voice to the word of God, and the Lord will release His holy angels to minister to us as the heirs of salvation; there are tremendous demonstrations of God’s power that are laid up for our generation. Generals of faith like William Seymour, Mother Etter, William Brenham and others prophesied about this power, but someone has to take their words and press into God for the fulfilment of His promises.
The Holy spirit says, “We are to stand on the shoulders of William Seymour, use the power and revelation of the Holy Spirit and birth the next move of God, that will supersede anything we have ever read or seen.”
A grace to tarry in prayer and to spent time in the Word is being released over you, even as you read this newsletter. Many that have sat on the sidelines watching others walk in miracles will arise, pray and fast, and the Lord will roar over them, awakening their identity and they will become violent in the Spirit to enforce the laws of our God in the Spiritual realm.
Someone said that even a dwarf standing on the shoulders of a giant can see further than the giant. The Holy Spirit will enable you to use the revelations that came through previous moves of God, that is, praying in other tongues. His power will manifest in your life and the people around you will see it and believe in Jesus; the glory of God will fill the earth as the waters fill the sea.
Do not fall into temptation of sitting back and worrying over your situation. Heaven is awaiting for you to engage in prayer and the ministry of the Word. Angels are waiting for you to decree the word of God over your life, your family and your city. The government of God is forever increasing on the shoulders of Jesus, when you the believer take your place of authority.
