Even Though It’s Crooked, It’s Not Broken

Even Though It’s Crooked, It’s Not Broken

If you have been born again for a while, you have probably heard the influx of “revelation” indicating that the body of Christ is deteriorating and losing ground. While many of these statements contain some fact, the Bible promises that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church.

Matthew 16:18–20 (NKJV) says, “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” As such, even though the Body may seem crooked, it is not broken.

Statistics may indicate that we live in the most faithless generation, as in the time of the prophet Isaiah. Yet in the midst of this, the TRUTH is that millions of believers have not compromised their faith. They have cried out to God for a new release of His Spirit upon the earth, and God is about to honor their labor with a harvest so great that the earth will be filled with His glory.

The Bible has proven that in the fullness of time, God always overrides the culture of the day and advances His agenda. In II Chronicles 13:1-13, there was trouble in Israel between Rehoboam and Jeroboam. When Abijah came on the scene, he stated with authority what had been and what was to be, basing his knowledge on the covenant of God. Before the confrontation, Jeroboam had taken advantage of Rehoboam, who was young, tender-hearted, and could not withstand him. However, Abijah was mature and able to invoke the covenant of God in the situation.

The body of Christ may have suffered an uphill battle that made her seem too weak to successfully combat the enemy’s onslaught. However, like in Rehoboam’s case, there have been instances where members of the body of Christ have walked in ignorance and immaturity, hence subjecting her to reproach and ridicule. But in this season, the Spirit of the Lord is saying that there is a remnant in the church that has kept their stance in the Lord. They have come of age and now, with the onset of the latter rain, a strong boldness is breaking out. These mighty men and women of valor will stand and decree the covenant of God into reality.

If you are reading this article, the Lord wants you to know that you have a part to play in this last dispensation. In the areas of your life or ministry where there has been failure or hardship, the Lord used (past tense) that to tune you up and refine you. You are now mature and ready to face your opponent.

I therefore release you in Jesus’ name to, like Abijah, confront the enemy with the covenant of the blood of Jesus, and success will you be your portion for the rest of your life. Against all hope, and the facts and circumstances you’ve experienced, you are of age now spiritually. You are strong and able to withstand your adversaries.

Like Joseph, this generation has been ordained for a testimony. It is crucial for us not to dwell on what the Body looks like with the faults, scandals, etc. We have the accuser of the brethren for that purpose. Faith in God and His word is the only language we are to know going forward, calling those things that are not as though they are (see Hebrews 11) and being rooted and grounded in love (see Ephesians 3:17).

The ordinances and practices that forced the Holy Spirit out of church will fall off as we begin to experience the real power and presence of God. The times will be very exciting. Christianity will not be a religion or an option to choose from among other religions, but it will be the only HOPE and WAY to real peace and happiness. We are not just among those that pursue happiness, but we are the dispensers of the real joy and fulfilment from the Lord.

As you read on, please understand that you are not to feel condemned for where you are in your walk with the Lord. This is an invitation for you to reboot your spiritual life and renew your wineskin so that the Lord can pour in the new oil needed for you to thrive in the coming days.
