Seeing eyes

Eyes to see and ears to hear …. part 1

In the Kingdom of God, a living relationship of a Father and His family is the mode of operation. Communication between the Father and His family through the Holy Spirit turns the written word into a pulsating rhema in your life. This is the word (rhema) that scriptures say it does not go back to Him void, but it prospers in the desired purpose (Isaiah 55:11). The Father’s desire for you this season is to be plugged in the operations of heaven by having your eyes open; to see what He is doing and hear the instructions that will breed a now miracle.
In Isaiah 35:5, Isaiah spells the pattern of the coming Messiah’s miracles; that the blind will see, and the deaf will hear, and the lame will walk.  It is in the redemption package that you are to see as Jesus saw and hear as Jesus heard before you can make any strides towards fulfilling your destiny. In other words, spiritual blindness and deafness have to be healed before you can run the race of destiny.
Elsewhere in John 5:19-20 He says, “Amen amen I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, He can only do what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise, ……  and the Father will show Him greater works than these.” Seeing the Father and hearing His voice is the key to success in your prayer life.  If your spiritual eyes can see what the Father is doing at any given situation in your life; whether favorable or not, you will overflow with exceeding joy, knowing the will of God for that moment. The greater works mentioned in John 14:12 are only possible if we can come to a place of functioning out of a living, pulsating relationship with God, moment by moment as mentioned in John 5:19.
How to see and hear:
The first step in eliminating spiritual blindness is that you must be born from again. In John 3:3 Jesus says, “Truly truly I say to you, except a man be born again, he cannot SEE the Kingdom of God.” If you are not born again, believe in Jesus Christ, confess with your mouth and you will be enrolled in the school of the Spirit; repentance is the only way.
Secondly, after you are born again, the old man still tries to leave a legacy in your new born nature through little foxes (sins) that easily beset you (Hebrews 12:1). In Galatians 5:22, 2Timothy 2:23 and Romans 8:13, Paul adjures us to put to death the works of the flesh, for if we live by the flesh spiritual death is certain. In Revelation 2:5 we are cautioned to repent and do the first works, or else Jesus will come quickly and put out the lampstand from its place. The presence of any unconfessed sin in our life will always act as a boulder in our spiritual eyes and hinder any spiritual nourishment that is supplied by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer and fasting plays a big role in bringing harmony between your born-again spirit, your soul and your flesh. In Acts 10, we see that when Peter was hungry, his eyes were opened and the Lord gave him specific details, and the Lord used him to bring an outpouring of the Holy Ghost to the Gentiles. In the same account Cornelius, a God-fearing man was fasting and praying and His eyes were opened. An angel gave him instructions that led to the salvation of his family.
It’s no coincidence that in every case where a spiritual encounter happened, the subject was praying and fasting. I reckon that many people seeking the gift of spiritual sight already have the gift resident, for God is the one who has put that desire in them. Rearrangement of priorities in terms of putting the flesh down and intentionally using that time to seek the Lord will have your gift blossom in marvelous ways.

A third step is that you must be hungry and thirsty for the manifestation of this promise in your life. Hunger causes all living things to go to great lengths to satisfy it. In Matthew 5:6 Jesus says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.” In Proverbs 23:18, He promises that the desire of the righteous shall not be cut short.
Create a hunger and thirst in you by discovering the promises that God has given you through the finished work of the cross. Bring them before the Lord for the Scriptures say that through those promises, we attain a divine nature (2 Peter 1:3-4). In 1Corinthians 14:1, we are encouraged to desire spiritual gifts, especially that we may prophesy. Whether you operate in the office of the Prophet, the gift of the prophecy or you flow in the spirit of prophecy at times, the important thing is that you are connected to divine council and you have access to the heartbeat of the Lord.

Fourth, in a childlike faith (simplicity), just ask. In John 16:23 Jesus says, “In that day you shall ask Me nothing but, whatever you shall ask the Father in My name, He shall do it for you…. Ask and you shall receive so that your joy may be full.” In 1Kings 6:17 in the case of Elisha’s Servant, Elisha prayed, “Lord open his eyes to see,” and the Lord opened his servants eyes. In Mark 10:45, blind Bartimaeus said to Jesus, “I want to see again,” and the Lord opened His eyes. On and on the Scriptures display the simplicity of our interaction with our Heavenly Father. He desires for you see and hear in the spirit more than you desire it.

Point of Faith – You already have it.
Ephesians 2 :5 – You were crucified with Him, buried with Him and are now seated in Heavenly places in Him.
Joel 2:28 – After the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, prophecies, tongues, visions and dreams are common place among the redeemed.
In 1 John4:17 – As He is, so are we in this world. Your born-again spirit is acquainted with the spiritual realm already. You interact with angles all the time and you hear the voice of God perfectly, you just need to renew your mind and allow what you experienced in the new birth to overflow into your soul and body.

How do I know that what I am seeing or sensing is God or satan? …In Matthew 7:9 “…. and who is the man among you whose son will ask him for bread and will hand him a stone? And if he will ask him for a fish, will he hand him a snake? If therefore you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in Heaven give good things to those who ask him?”
When you ask, trust and believe what you see!

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened and flooded with light by the Holy Spirit, so that you will know and cherish the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in God’s people ( Ephesians 1:18)
